Bengaluru, January 6: In the rich tapestry of Indian mythology, the Mahabharat stands as an enduring epic, weaving together the destinies of the Kuru dynasty, particularly the fateful clash between the Pandavas and Kauravas in the Kurukshetra War. At its core, the Mahabharat encompasses tales of valour, morality, and the eternal cosmic balance.

The Mahabharat Series by Mr. Swamy CJ is not just a collection of paintings but a vivid narration of this timeless saga. After unveling The Mahabharat Series Mr. Swamy CJ said, “I am thrilled that my devoted five-year effort in meticulously crafting 178 frame-to-frame Mahabharat series oil paintings, each measuring 24 by 30 inches, reflects my artistic mastery and commitment, surpassing the timeline of the previous artist, Giampaolo Tomasetti from Italy. Despite dedicating a comparable duration to studying Indian culture and Mahabharat history, the Italian artist took approximately 12 years (5 years for study and 7 years for painting the epic) to create only 25 Mahabharat paintings on large canvases. Indeed, Giampaolo Tomasetti serves as my inspiration in achieving this level of success.”

About the Artist: Mr. Swamy, with a dual identity as a management professional and an ardent yoga practitioner, brings a unique perspective to his artistic endeavours. His deep appreciation for Indian culture and Mahabharat history is reflected in his meticulous artworks.
