Addressing the media at the Information Centre in Lalbagh today, he said the 12-day flower show will be held from August 6 to 17. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The central theme of this year’s exhibition is “The Grandeur of the Ganga Dynasty.” The exhibition aims to showcase the rich history and contributions of the Ganga Dynasty, which ruled for nearly seven centuries (325–1004 A.D.)

Special Attractions

  • A floral replica of the famous Begur Temple.
  • A model of the Chavundaraya Basadi at Shravanabelagola, built by Chavundaraya, the Ganga minister who commissioned the Bahubali (Gommateshwara) statue.
  • A Vertical Garden depicting the Bahubali statue and displays of sculptures of Ganga rulers.
  • Around seven varieties of rare indigenous and exotic flowers sourced from four countries will be featured in the exhibition.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka will inaugurate the flower show at 11:00 a.m. on August 6, after which the exhibition will be open to the public.

Entry Fee and Ticket Details

  • Weekdays (Monday–Friday): ₹80 for adults.
  • Weekends (Saturday–Sunday): ₹100 for adults.
  • Children below 14 years: ₹30.
  • School students in uniform will receive free entry on working days (excluding holidays).

Online Ticket Booking

To facilitate visitors, online ticket booking has been made available through the hasiru.karnataka.gov.in website. Automated ticket kiosks have also been installed at the venue.

Public Guidelines and Visitor Facilities

  • Plastic Ban: Plastic items and outside food are strictly prohibited inside Lalbagh.
  • Drinking Water and Toilets: More than 15 drinking water points and temporary toilet facilities have been arranged across the garden.
  • Traffic and Parking: Visitors are encouraged to use the Metro to avoid traffic congestion. Parking arrangements have been made at Shantinagar BMTC Bus Station, Al-Ameen College, HOPCOMS premises and the multi-level car parking facility on J.C. Road.
  • Security: More than 350 police personnel, under the supervision of DSPs, ACPs and Police Inspectors, have been deployed to ensure security and maintain law and order.

The press conference was also attended by Ibrahim Maigur (IAS), Director of the Department of Horticulture, along with Joint Directors, Deputy Directors and other senior officials.
