“Handicrafts splendour in Chitrakala Parishat; Indian Haat Festival begins amid fanfare; brings glitter to Varamahalakshmi festival”

Bengaluru, August 18: “Indian Haat Festival” an exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts item commenced here on Friday.

Special handicraft items from different parts of the country are available in this exhibition-cum-sale till August 27.

The manufacturers are selling their products directly to the consumers at cost-effective prices. Colorful and good quality artifacts, sarees, house-hold items and hosieries are being sold.

Ornamental items, intricately carved handicrafts and designer clothes are also on sale in this exhibition.

Jeevitha Jagdeesh, an artist who has a spell on the life-style, inaugurated the exhibition-cum-sale in an atmosphere of glitter and tradition.

“This meaningful exhibition is to be experienced. This has added an element of tradition and glitter to the Varamahalakshmi festival. We get to know the lifestyle of other states as well,” she said.

College students – both boys and girls – appreciated the diversity and variety of the exhibition-cum-sale.
