Free Siddha Medical Camp in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, June 6: A free Siddha medical camp has been held in Bengaluru on 06 June 2024. Free medical consultation and Siddha medicines have been distributed for various diseases including diabetes and hypertension. Siddha medicine is a traditional system of medicine that originated in Tamil Nadu, India.

It is based on the principles of Siddhar Agathiyar and uses a variety of herbal remedies, minerals, and metals to treat a wide range of diseases. Siddha medicine has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its effectiveness and safety.

The camp was organized by the Siddha Clinical Research Unit, Bengaluru which functions under the Central Council for Research in Siddha, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in collaboration with the Karnataka Tamil Journalists’ Association. This special Siddha Medical Camp was organized as a part of the 8th Year (Inaugurated on 25-05-2017) of the Inaugural Day of Siddha Clinical Research Unit (CCRS), Bengaluru.


With the Siddhar invocation, Sh. A. V. Mathiazhagan has delivered the welcome address and Dr. M. Kannan, Research Officer (Siddha) Scientist III has delivered the presidential address. During his talk the origin of the Siddha System of Medicine, the impact of Kaba Sura Kudineer on the pandemic COVID-19, The holistic nature of the medicine, and its lifestyle advocacy of Siddha Medicine. Moreover, the Establishment of CCRS, and their peripheral institutes and units, functions, locations, and research activities also.


The event was inaugurated by Dr. A. Sundara Murugesan, Director, of Vasan Eye Care, Bengaluru. He delivered his inaugural address, and he insisted on the documentation and integration with other systems of medicine. Followed by Dr. R. Manickavasgam, the Research Officer (Siddha) delivered his vote of thanks to the gathering. He also aired about the benefits and activities of SCRU Bengaluru.

The auspicious event has been structured with the help of Muthu mani Nannan, K.Thinagaravelu and Pattu from Karnataka Tamil Journalists’ Association of Bengaluru.
