Marking the 60th year of ISKCON’s Jagannath Rath Yatra tradition, the festival continued its tradition of taking Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva, and Devi Subhadra beyond the temple, inviting people from all backgrounds to receive Their blessings.

Rath Yatra is the annual festival in which Lord Jagannath, accompanied by Lord Baladeva and Devi Subhadra, comes out in procession to bestow His mercy upon everyone, symbolising compassion, inclusiveness, and spiritual unity.

The celebrations commenced in Kannamangala, continued in Kaggadasapura, and culminated with the flagship Rath Yatra in Whitefield. The Whitefield procession commenced at Aai Mataji Temple, Siddapura, and concluded at the Inner Circle Ground, Whitefield, where thousands participated in pulling the beautifully decorated chariots while chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

Each Rath Yatra concluded with inspiring cultural programmes featuring spiritual discourses (Katha), melodious Kirtans, devotional and classical performances, Chappan Bhog offerings, and the grand Maha Arati.

Across the three Rath Yatras, 5,075 sanctified prasadam meals were served, reflecting ISKCON’s longstanding commitment to serving society through Krishna prasadam and promoting compassion, harmony, and devotional culture.

Hundreds of volunteers coordinated logistics, crowd management, cultural programmes, and prasadam distribution, ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of all three Rath Yatras.

CA K. Ravi is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a law graduate and Senior Partner of K.R. Kumar & Co. and K. Ravi & Associates. He is also the Director of VR e-Biz Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which provides specialised India Entry Consulting and Virtual CFO services. He brings more than three decades of professional excellence in taxation, corporate advisory, governance and international business.

Recognised as one of Karnataka’s most respected industry leaders, he created history as the first practising Chartered Accountant to become President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in its 104-year history. His distinguished leadership journey also includes serving as President of the Karnataka State Chartered Accountants Association (KSCAA), Past President of Rotary Bangalore Orchards and Past Governor of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Florida, USA-Bangalore Chapter.

During the programme, information was shared on various banking services available for pensioners and senior citizens, including digital banking facilities, safe banking practices, grievance redressal, and updates on pension-related services. The branch head has also assured to extend necessary support to the Senior citizens

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ರೆಟ್ಟೈಮಲೈ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸನ್ ಅವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಹಿತಿಂಡಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಊಟಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ವೇಡಿ, ತುಳಿತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದ ಪರೈಯರ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ರೆಟ್ಟೈಮಲೈ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸನ್ ಅವರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪದವೀಧರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆಯ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಗೆ ಏರುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳು ನಡೆದವು. ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ತನ್ನ ತತ್ವಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

ವಿವಿಧ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಪರೈಯರ್ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಜನರು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರಿಗೆ, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಯುವಜನರಿಗೆ – ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಏಕತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದವರು ಸತ್ತವರಂತೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ಪರೈಯರ್ ಸಮುದಾಯವು ಭಾರತದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹರಡಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ದಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಂತದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ನೆರವು ನೀಡಲು ಸಹ ನಾವು ಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಪರೈಯರ್ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಿಟ್ ವಿತರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಲಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜೂಹಿ ಸ್ಮಿತಾ ಸಿನ್ಹಾ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆಯುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೇ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯನ್ನೂ ಈಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ರೂಢಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳಾಗಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅವಕಾಶಗಳಿವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಇದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಇಂದಿನಿಂದಲೇ ದೂರದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದರಲ್ಲದೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಭಾಗವೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಮೈಸೂರು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನವರು ಕಳೆದ ಏಳು ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ರಾಣಿ ಸರಳಾದೇವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮನ್ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರೋಟರಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಖ್ಯಾತ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತಾ ಕಿಟ್ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರೊಟೋರಿಯನ್ ಅರವಿಂದ್ ಸಾಲಾಂಪುರಿಯಾ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ರಾಣಿ ಸರಳಾದೇವಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಟರಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಡುವಣ ಅವಿನಾಭಾವ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿ, ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರೋಟರಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ರೋಟರಿ ಪ್ರೈಂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ರೊಟೋರಿಯನ್ ಇಂದಿರಾ ರಘು ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಬಿ.ಕೋದಂಡರಾಂ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, 1955ರಷ್ಟು ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಮೈಸೂರು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನವರೇ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸ್ಟೇಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸುಯೋಗ ಎಂದು, ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಟರಿ ಪ್ರೈಂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಹಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕು.ಯಶಸ್ವಿನಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯ ನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಶ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಿನ್ಸಿಪಾಲ್ ಸುನೀಲ್ ಬಾಬು ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸಿದರು.

Mrs. Juhi Smitha Sinha, Chief General Manager, Bangalore Region, State Bank of India, who was Chief Guest, distributed kits to the children and said that the children should have a definite vision from now onwards for a bright future. In this direction, besides getting traditional education they should also develop skills right away. There are plenty of opportunities to become entrepreneurs. There is a high demand for jobs in the banking sector also, she said. As an executive representing State Bank of India, she praised the efforts of the Mysore Bank Education Society, in successfully running the school over seven decades as well as the support being extended by the Rotary Club to Rani Saraladevi Educational Institutions.

Rotarian Arvind Salampuria, a renowned enterpreneur and literacy kit sponsorer, spoke and recalled the inseparable ties between Rani Saraladevi Educational Institution and the Rotary Club and said that the Club will continue to provide more such supports in future as well.

Smt. Indira Raghu, President of Rotary Prime, delivered the introductory speech. B. Kodandaram, President of the Educational Institutions, who presided over the function, said that it is a privilege him that the Chief General Manager of the State Bank of India had visited the institution started and led by the Bank of Mysore Ltd., as early as 1955 and also recalled the collaboration of the Rotary Prime institution in this regard.
