ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಮಹಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಎಫ್‌ಕೆ ಸಿಸಿಐ) ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ, 2026ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ 21ನೇ ರಫ್ತು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತಾ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ರಫ್ತುದಾರರು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದ ಅವರು ಅದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ದೇಶದ ರಫ್ತು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾದಾಗ, ಆಮದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾದಾಗ ವಿದೇಶಿ ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾಲರ್‌ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ. ರುಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಕುಸಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯಾವಾಗ ರಫ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆಯೋ, ಆಗ ಡಾಲರ್‌ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಇಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ರುಪಾಯಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ವೃದ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಫ್ತುದಾರರು ನಿರ್ಣಾಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ವೋಲ್ವೊ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಮಲ್‌ ಬಾಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ರಫ್ತು ಎಂದರೆ ಕೇವಲ ವಿದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನ, ಸೇವೆಗಳ ಮಾರಾಟದ ಅಂಕಿ ಅಂಶಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ದೇಶದ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಗೆ ರಫ್ತು ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ತರದ ನಗರ, ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ರಫ್ತು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಸ್ವಾಗತಾರ್ಹ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ರಫ್ತುದಾರರು ಇವತ್ತು ಹಲವಾರು ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಹಲವಾರು ದೇಶಗಳು ರಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ಮಕ ಧೋರಣೆ ತಾಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಂಘರ್ಷಗಳು, ಯುದ್ಧಗಳು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಡೆತ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಇಂಥ ಸವಾಲುಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಭಾರತವು ಹಲವಾರು ದೇಶಗಳ ಜತೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಒಪ್ಪಂದಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಭಾರತವು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ 70 ಪರ್ಸೆಂಟ್‌ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ದೇಶಗಳು, ಒಕ್ಕೂಟಗಳ ಜತೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಒಪ್ಪಂದವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಎಫ್‌ಟಿಎಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಫ್ತುದಾರರಿಗೆ ವಿದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ರಫ್ತು ಮಾಡಲು ಹೊಸ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಆಮದು ಕೂಡ ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಉದ್ದಿಮೆದಾರರಿಗೆ, ರಫ್ತುದಾರರಿಗೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

ರಫ್ತುದಾರರಿಗೆ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರು ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ರಫ್ತು ಎಂದರೆ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಸರಣಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ತಮ್ಮದೇ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ, ವಿತರಣೆ, ರಫ್ತಿನ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಜಾಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆ ವಲಯವು ದೇಶದ ಜಿಡಿಪಿಗೆ 14 ಪರ್ಸೆಂಟಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಬಲ್ಲುದು. ಅಂಥ ಇಕೊ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.

The first edition of World Textile India will be held from October 1 to 4, 2026 at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO)** in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The expo will bring together textile manufacturers, exporters, designers, brands, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and international representatives under one platform.

The event, organized by the Federation of Industries Research and Development, is being coordinated by its counterpart, Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra. WTI is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC).

The logo unveiling marks the beginning of a broader vision to position Indian textiles on a stronger global platform. It aims to create new opportunities for innovation, exports, collaboration and business growth. The four-day expo is expected to witness participation from around 30 countries, with prominent brands and industry representatives from key markets including Canada, South Korea, Japan and Vietnam as key attractions.

Speaking about the initiative, the organisers said that Bengaluru, one of the major metropolitan cities and commercial hubs of South India, has been chosen for the first edition of WTI. With a strong ecosystem of technology, manufacturing, entrepreneurship and global trade, Bengaluru will provide an ideal platform for Indian textile industries to connect with international buyers, brands and industry partners, they said.

More than a traditional exhibition, World Textile India 2026 aims to create a comprehensive platform for entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, innovate and expand their businesses globally. The Expo will showcase opportunities across the entire value chain of the textile and apparel sector. Participating industries will be provided with networking, market access and international exposure and opportunities.

One of the key attractions of WTI is the International Fashion Show, which will feature the International Best Designer of the Year award with a first prize of ₹5 lakh. An Institutional Fashion Show, with a first prize of ₹1 lakh, will also be organised, providing a platform for emerging and established Indian design talents to showcase their talent. The Best Indian Designer of the Year award will be presented on the occasion.

Another highlight of the programme will be three international summits on key issues related to the textile and apparel sector. Union Ministers, State Ministers, key industry leaders and entrepreneurs are expected to participate in these summits, which will provide an opportunity for participants to interact and exchange views on the future of the industry.

The organisers aim to make WTI not just a one-off event, but an ongoing global platform. The entrepreneurs and brands selected in this edition in Bengaluru will get the opportunity to exhibit at international expos to be organized in UAE, Malaysia and Canada in 2026 and 2027. This will open new avenues for Indian industries to explore new international markets.

With the logo unveiling, World Textile India 2026 has officially begun its journey towards becoming a global platform to showcase the potential of the Indian textile sector globally and connect the country’s industries with international opportunities. Addressing the media at the Information Centre in Lalbagh today, he said the 12-day flower show will be held from August 6 to 17. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The central theme of this year’s exhibition is “The Grandeur of the Ganga Dynasty.” The exhibition aims to showcase the rich history and contributions of the Ganga Dynasty, which ruled for nearly seven centuries (325–1004 A.D.)

Special Attractions

• A floral replica of the famous Begur Temple.
• A model of the Chavundaraya Basadi at Shravanabelagola, built by Chavundaraya, the Ganga minister who commissioned the Bahubali (Gommateshwara) statue.
• A Vertical Garden depicting the Bahubali statue and displays of sculptures of Ganga rulers.
• Around seven varieties of rare indigenous and exotic flowers sourced from four countries will be featured in the exhibition.

The Chief Minister of Karnataka will inaugurate the flower show at 11:00 a.m. on August 6, after which the exhibition will be open to the public.

Entry Fee and Ticket Details

• Weekdays (Monday–Friday): ₹80 for adults.
• Weekends (Saturday–Sunday): ₹100 for adults.
• Children below 14 years: ₹30.
• School students in uniform will receive free entry on working days (excluding holidays).

Online Ticket Booking

To facilitate visitors, online ticket booking has been made available through the hasiru.karnataka.gov.in website. Automated ticket kiosks have also been installed at the venue.

Public Guidelines and Visitor Facilities

• Plastic Ban: Plastic items and outside food are strictly prohibited inside Lalbagh.
• Drinking Water and Toilets: More than 15 drinking water points and temporary toilet facilities have been arranged across the garden.
• Traffic and Parking: Visitors are encouraged to use the Metro to avoid traffic congestion. Parking arrangements have been made at Shantinagar BMTC Bus Station, Al-Ameen College, HOPCOMS premises and the multi-level car parking facility on J.C. Road.
• Security: More than 350 police personnel, under the supervision of DSPs, ACPs and Police Inspectors, have been deployed to ensure security and maintain law and order.
