Bengaluru: Bengaluru-based meta-material innovation company, hosted Ecolution 2.0, a milestone event celebrating the company’s five-year journey in building planet-positive alternatives to plastic.
Held in Bengaluru, at Ritz Carlton, the event brought together key stakeholders to reflect on the progress made in sustainable packaging and discuss the road ahead for innovation, adoption, and ecosystem-wide impact.
During the event, Bambrew showcased their flagship products, and also announced their intention to launch their first direct-to-consumer (D2C) product range designed for daily household use, in the coming months. These products are designed for everyday use and aim to help households and institutions reduce single-use plastic consumption at scale.
Vaibhav Anant, Founder and CEO, Bambrew, said, “Ecolution 2.0 is not just a milestone celebration — it is a checkpoint in a much longer journey of trying to fundamentally redesign how the world thinks about packaging. When we started five years ago, sustainable alternatives were still seen as fringe; expensive, inaccessible, or lacking performance. Today, not only are we proud to say we’ve changed that perception for many large businesses, but we have also successfully eliminated over 100 million units of single-use plastic from the environment. But the larger challenge now lies in bringing that same innovation into people’s everyday lives. Our D2C range is our answer to that, a way to democratize access to compostable products, and move from B2B influence to household impact.”
Kunal Prasad, Co-founder, Bambrew, said, ”What began as a materials problem has quickly become a systems challenge. In our five-year journey, we’ve come to realize that developing compostable packaging is only the first step, enabling its adoption across society is where the real impact lies. Ecolution 2.0, in many ways, reflects that shift. It’s not just about showcasing what we’ve created, but about inviting others into the mission — businesses, regulators, citizens; because sustainability at scale is only possible when it’s shared.”
Ecolution 2.0 was also attended by senior officials, sustainability leaders, industry experts, and other eminent members of Bambrew’s customer and extended stakeholder ecosystem. A showcase zone was set up at the event venue to demonstrate the usability and design of their material and product range.
Bambrew was founded in 2018 and currently supplies plastic-free packaging solutions made from bamboo fiber, agro-waste, seaweed, recycled paper, and other natural materials. It works with businesses across FMCG, e-commerce, healthcare, food, and personal care sectors.
