The launch event brought together healthcare leaders, oncology specialists, dignitaries, cancer survivors, and community representatives to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in comprehensive cancer care focused on innovation, precision, and compassionate treatment.

The event featured ‘Samrohana Sarathi Survivor Program’, a special initiative dedicated to celebrating the courage and resilience of cancer survivors. As part of the Samrohana Sarathi Survivor Program, cancer warriors were honoured for their inspiring journeys and contribution towards creating awareness and hope for others battling cancer.

As part of its commitment towards early detection and community health, KIMS RENOVA Oncology Institute along with Samrohana Cancer Foundation announced the “134 Free Screening Camp Pledge”, inspired by the remarkable legacy of Mr. VVS Laxman, who represented India in 134 Test matches. A breakthrough introduced through the ROSA robotic platform is frameless brain surgery technology, transforming the way neurosurgical procedures are performed in India. Traditionally, many brain procedures required rigid frames fixed to the patient’s skull for surgical navigation. With ROSA’s frameless robotic technology, surgeons can now achieve sub-millimetric precision without the discomfort and invasiveness associated with conventional frame-based systems.

The introduction of this technology represents a paradigm shift in minimally invasive cranial surgery, significantly improving patient comfort, surgical efficiency, precision, and clinical outcomes. ಆಸ್ಟರ್ ವೈಟ್‌ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಆಂಕಾಲಜಿ ತಂಡವು IOeRT ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ 113 ಸ್ತನ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಬಹಳ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಅಧ್ಯಯನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗ್ರೇಡ್ 3 ಚರ್ಮದ ಹಾನಿಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ನಂತರದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಾದ ಸೀರೋಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸೋಂಕು ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆಸ್ಟರ್ ವೈಟ್‌ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಒಲಿಗೋರಿಕರೆಂಟ್ ಟ್ಯೂಮರ್‌ಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರೆಟ್ರೋಪೆರಿಟೋನಿಯಲ್ ಸಾರ್ಕೋಮಾಸ್‌ಗಳಿಗೆ IOeRT ಬಳಸಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಈ ವಿಧಾನವು ಬಹುಮುಖವಾಗಿದ್ದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವೇದಿಕೆಯೊಂದಾದ ಫೆಡರೇಶನ್ ಆಫ್ ಏಷಿಯನ್ ಆರ್ಗನೈಸೇಷನ್ಸ್ ಫಾರ್ ರೇಡಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಂಕಾಲಜಿ (FARO) ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

The Minister further unveiled the new look of the hospital, symbolising its continued commitment to innovation and patient-centric care. Hon’ble Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao congratulated the Gunasheela team for their five decades of excellence and urged them to continue their mission of providing advanced fertility and gynecology services for couples and women across Karnataka. Founded in 1975 by the late Dr. Sulochana Gunasheela, a visionary gynaecologist, and Dr. Mavahalli Gunasheela, a skilled surgeon, the hospital became a pioneer in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

In 1988, Gunasheela achieved a historic breakthrough with the birth of South India’s first test tube baby, cementing its reputation as a trailblazer in fertility care. Speaking at the celebrations, Dr. Devika Gunasheela, Managing Director and Fertility Specialist, Gunasheela Surgical and Maternity Hospital, said: “Fifty years ago, my mother, the late Dr.Sulochana, began a mission that changed the destiny of thousands of families. Over the years, Gunasheela has achieved several firsts in reproductive medicine. It established India’s first in-house fertility genetics laboratory, enabling advanced genetic screening in IVF, and pioneered fertility preservation for cancer patients on a charitable basis. In 2004, Gunasheela conceived India’s first In Vitro Maturation (IVM) baby, a major medical milestone. In 2013, South India’s first pregnancy through Embryoscope technology was reported at Gunasheela, resulting in the birth of twins.
