A breakthrough introduced through the ROSA robotic platform is frameless brain surgery technology, transforming the way neurosurgical procedures are performed in India. Traditionally, many brain procedures required rigid frames fixed to the patient’s skull for surgical navigation. With ROSA’s frameless robotic technology, surgeons can now achieve sub-millimetric precision without the discomfort and invasiveness associated with conventional frame-based systems.

Pediatric liver emergencies often escalate rapidly, leading to complications such as brain swelling, infections, organ failure, and metabolic disturbances. Addressing these complexities requires coordinated, specialist-led approach centered on liver health. Equipped with advanced monitoring systems and supported by a multidisciplinary team of pediatric hepatologists, liver transplant surgeons, intensivists, anesthetists, infectious disease specialists, and specially trained liver ICU nurses, PEARL enables rapid response, precision care, and continuous monitoring during critical moments.

The launch of GHN underscores HOSMAT’s evolution beyond a high-volume clinical institution into a research-led and academically driven centre of excellence in orthopaedics and trauma care.

Over the past 33+ years , HOSMAT has built one of the country’s most significant trauma ecosystems, performing 25 to 30 trauma surgeries daily , placing it among India’s highest-volume trauma centres. The institution has also contributed extensively to academic medicine, leading over 300 research initiatives, with more than 80 publications in internationally indexed journals , and playing a key role in shaping clinical practice in orthopaedics and trauma.

Its impact on medical education is equally significant. According to Orthopaedic Society of India estimates, nearly 10% of Bengaluru’s orthopaedic surgeons have trained at HOSMAT, reinforcing its role as a major training hub for the next generation of specialists. Over the decades, HOSMAT has also touched nearly one-third of Bengaluru’s population through trauma care , reflecting both its scale and community trust.

Held at the ITC Welcome Hotel, Richmond Road, Traumacon 2026 brought together 150+ leading orthopaedic surgeons, trauma specialists, and clinicians from across India, creating a platform for real-world learning, surgical innovation, and collaborative problem-solving. The event was held in memory of Late Dr Thomas Chandy, a globally respected orthopaedic surgeon and pioneer in trauma care, whose legacy continues to guide the institution’s clinical and academic philosophy.

India continues to face one of the highest trauma burdens globally, with over 4.8 lakh road accidents annually and nearly 1.7–1.8 lakh deaths each year , making trauma one of the leading causes of mortality among young adults. Against this backdrop, Traumacon 2026 was conceptualised to address a critical gap – the need for practice-led, experience-driven learning platforms that directly impact patient outcomes.

The conference featured a comprehensive, full-day scientific agenda with over 25+ expert-led sessions, covering upper limb trauma, complex lower limb injuries, paediatric trauma, non-union surgeries, complication management, medico-legal aspects, and orthopaedic practice efficiency. A defining feature of the conference was its case-based and discussion-led format, enabling clinicians to engage with real-world scenarios and refine decision-making in high-pressure environments.

ಯೋಗ, ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮ, ಲಸಿಕೆ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವಂತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. 2014ಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ 7 ಏಮ್ಸ್ ಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಇದೀಗ ಅವುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 23 ಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 387 ರಿಂದ 780ಕ್ಕೆ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೀಟುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 51 ಸಾವಿರದಿಂದ 1.18 ಲಕ್ಷ, ಪಿಜಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳು 31 ಸಾವಿರದಿಂದ 74 ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಿಂದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನುರಿತ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವೃದ್ದಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಆದಿ ಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಮಠಕ್ಕೆ 1800 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಭವ್ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಡಾ. ನಿರ್ಮಲನಾನಂದ ನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೇವೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯಂತಹ ಉನ್ನತ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ, ಅನ್ನ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ, ಅರಣ್ಯ, ಅನುಕಂಪ, ಅನುಬಂಧ ಸೇರಿ 9 ಆಧಾರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸೇವಾ ಮನೋಭಾವ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಧರ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸುವ ಎಕತೆಯ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ಲಾಘನೀಯ. ಆಧುನಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೌರವ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ದೊರಕಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮ ಉತ್ಥಾನದ ಕೆಲಸ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಆತ್ಮ ಸುಧಾರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಯೂ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಮಹಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಹೋನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಾನ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಾಲಗಂಗಾಧರ ನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅವರು 40 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅನಾಥಾಲಯ, ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಲಿ. ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಕ್ ಪ್ಲಸ್ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆತಿರುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ನಿದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಡ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಗ್ಗೂಡಿಸಿ ಡಾ. ನಿರ್ಮಲಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರು ಕರ್ಮಯೋಗಿಯಂತೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ಡಾ. ನಿರ್ಮಲಾನಂದ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, 1974 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸೇವೆ ಸಿಗದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರುಗಳು ದೇಹ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಗುರುಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪದಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ವಿವಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಾಲ ಗಂಗಾಧರನಾಥ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಅವರ ಕನಸು ನನಸಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಅವರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿ. ಮರ ಹಣ್ಣು, ಹೂವು ನೀಡಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಮರದ ಬೇರುಗಳು ಆಳವಾಗಿರಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಗಟ್ಟಿತನದ ನಾಯಕರು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಪರಂಪರೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದದ್ದು. ಭಾರತ ಉಳಿದರೆ ಅಳಿಯುವರಾರು, ಭಾರತ ಅಳಿದರೆ ಉಳಿಯುವವರು ಯಾರು ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ಸತ್ಯ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶತಮಾನಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಉಕ್ಕು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರೀ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಚಿವ ಎಚ್.ಡಿ. ಕುಮಾರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಠಿಣ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಮಿತ್ ಶಾ ಅವರು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಒಂದೊಂದಾಗಿ ಬಗೆಹರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಮಠ ಇದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬದುಕು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದರು.

ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ. ಶರಣ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು, ಅಪಘಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶರಣ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮಠ, ಮಂದಿರಗಳು ಅನ್ನ, ಅಕ್ಷರ ದಾಸೋಹದ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ ಮಾದಾರ ಚನ್ನಯ್ಯ ಗುರುಪೀಠದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾದಾರ ಚನ್ನಯ್ಯ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪೀಠದ ಶ್ರೇಯೋಬಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಮಠದ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅನನ್ಯ. ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರುಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಶಾಖಮಠದಂತೆ ಪೋಷಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಸದಾ ಕಾಲ ಋಣಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಹಿನಿಗೆ ತರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಮಾದಿಗ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮೀಸಲಾತಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈ ಹೊಸ ವಿವಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿಗೆ ಬಹುದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
