Bengalore, March 30: The National Street Food Festival is finally happening at Jaya Mahal Palace. Street Food Vendors from across the country are here to serve their amazing street food in the heart of Indian Silicon Valley, Bengaluru. The two-day Street Food Festival is at the Jaya Mahal Palace on 30 & 31 March from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. The event highlights the exceptional merge of northern and southern cuisines at one stop.
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Avinash Diwakar Actor & Director, Ms. Sangeeta Singh, Street Food Program Head and Mr. Ramesh Social Activist. The esteemed guest welcomed the street vendors from across the country in Bengaluru. They said the larger population eats Street Food and street food vendors play an important role in the local economy.
Many unique street foods are being served to visitors from Kesari jalebi to Samosa Chaat, visitors have enjoyed the delicious taste of authentic street food. Ms. Kalpana from Goa has been serving her Ros Omelette for the last 12 years and bread the earner of her family. India Gate’s famous Bhel Puri which is being served by Gulab Singh. Avadhi Biryani from Lucknow is being served at the festival. Visitors enjoyed the street food dishes like tamatar Chaat and Dal Pakwaan.
Mr. Arbind Singh, National Coordinator said that this is a big opportunity for our vendors and through this festival, we also give a platform to many budding artists. The panel discussion sessions on Street Food Culture and Women’s Street Vendor gave a lot of insights on how important is to keep the Street Food Culture intact and how social media promotes the street food culture, Esteemed panelist Celebrity Chef Arjun Vellal, Food Blogger Naveen Suresh, Academician Annapurna Neti participated in the panel sessions. Cultural performances & taste-testing quizzes also took place.
